The guide took us to a restaurant, about an hour inside Guatemala. $10 for scrambled eggs, fried plantain and beans to go was not worth it. Bring lots of water (at least 16 oz per hour). Save an empty water bottle to fill up in the bathrooms. Not for drinking, but to pour over you head and neck to cool down.”
